The idea for our dataset set was to collect diverse images of rhinestones in order to train a

generative AI model to be able to generate new images. We wanted our dataset to include

diverse rhinestones, varying in size, shape, and color. I think we stayed true to our idea

throughout the course, and our final project reflects our original goal. We were interested

in using rhinestones for this project because they are varied and unique.

We researched where we can get rhinestones in the city and then had a couple of field

trips to a store we found in the Garment District. We each had a couple of bags of

rhinestones and divided the work equally. The main challenge we faced is the amount of

duplicates we had in the bought rhinestone bulk bags.
